hello, hello, hello and welcome back to dose of delusion. It is me, your host, jay, and it has been way too long, but I am sitting right in front of live in the flesh yes, literally in front of me the gorgeous, the masculine looking today I know I love it so much the fantabulous AJ the Silver Fox. How are you Tell me everything?
Speaker 2:I'm doing good. Actually, now that you're here in person, I'm doing fantastic. This has been a long time coming. Yes, we've done some little pre-recordings for full disclosure.
Speaker 1:We did um, but I think we decided it was gonna be best to do our first comeback yeah, in person, right?
Speaker 2:yeah, right for season two. We need to do that and start it all fresh like that. Um, speaking of that, did you realize our first episode was this month, a year ago oh, my goodness, you're right.
Speaker 1:It was literally right before halloween. Yes, wow, look at us being like netflix and coming out once a fucking year, I know, and then making everyone wait for ages until we're back. Oh my god, that is so exciting. I can't wait. I do have Halloween plans, well, costume plans, but no real plans yet.
Speaker 2:Well, I mean, and just to like revisit from our first episode, did you learn from a year ago and when I said recycle your costumes and do multiple different events in different costumes? I hope, I.
Speaker 1:You know what I did and actually helped a lot for last year. I took your advice last year and did it yeah um this year. I, I, I do have them still, and now because I'm in a whole different city.
Speaker 2:I could probably definitely redo them again but again, every every event, different costumes, and I already had my first Halloween extravaganza party already.
Speaker 1:Really yes. Some new friends of mine back up in DC are at a Halloween party tonight.
Speaker 2:Oh, or I would have been, but I chose to come down here instead, and to see me, of course, and to go to ACL.
Speaker 1:I will be heading to ACL. We can circle back to that a little bit we're excited about it um but I cannot believe.
Speaker 2:It was one year ago this month that we started this whole venture yeah, actually I think um if my dates are correct, I think in three weeks it'll be one year from our um first release of our first episode.
Speaker 1:That is well, listener, you heard it here first. We give it to you once a fucking year, oh my God.
Speaker 2:That is so exciting.
Speaker 1:AJ, what have you been up to? I mean, we have so much to catch up on that we cannot squeeze into one episode. No, but tell me, tell me.
Speaker 2:I mean I know we talk and we catch up on our own, but is there anything you want to let our listeners know?
Speaker 1:that's going on new with you, yeah absolutely Well listener.
Speaker 2:I think when we last you know, heard, or whatever, it was spring and there was lots of changes and things going on and I started a new job same company, but I'm at a different property, so still in property management.
Speaker 1:That's exciting.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's a beautiful new construction, lease up property, so that has me so fucking busy in a good way. Like my stress is a completely different level of stress, but like handable stress and like it's like it's good, it keeps you on the go, it's so like go, go, go and get it done. And like it's like it's good, it keeps you on the go, it's so like go, go, go and get it done, and I love that. I miss that that's. I haven't done lease up stuff like this, I think in like over a decade. So it's really really nice to just get back into it and do stuff like that. And I'm having you know, know, just, we just had our grand opening yesterday. You know lots of like who's who were there and it was just really really nice doing that. Um. And then you know, so just keeping up with the social life as well, um, like I said, halloween party last weekend, um, what did I go as? Oh, I was like some kind of like voodoo king. Of course, of course you were.
Speaker 1:Of course I was.
Speaker 2:And then after that Halloween party, my friend who's a DJ in Houston Giovanni he actually was DJing at the Heat. So of course I went in that same outfit because the theme was voodoo. So that's why I kind of course I went in that same outfit because the theme was voodoo.
Speaker 1:So that's why I like, I love that, you know it is. It's really nice because I can. I mean you can't, you guys can't see this, but I can the way AJ's face is lighting up when he's talking about getting into the line of work that he obviously has a passion for and is very, very happy. Now I've known AJ when he was in a different position and the type of stress that it would bring him. Now we all have work stress and I get it. You do, I do, everyone does, but I could tell that was taking a toll on you.
Speaker 2:It was towards the end especially, and you know I needed to just kind of reset, refine myself and just refocus on different things. And you know, in this new position I am, I'm able to do that. So I'm very, very happy I'm doing this and and just kind of like again getting back to myself, getting back to focusing on me, because I lost myself for a little bit.
Speaker 1:You know, it's what's.
Speaker 2:What's great is when a company hears you out and you raise your hand and you say, hey, I'm not okay, um, I need to refocus some things. They listened and did it and you know that just that stood out in me. So I'm very appreciative to be with a company, an organization with very strong leadership, that you recognize that and say, hey, jay, I hear you, this is what we could do. And I said, perfect, I'll take it. And. And so you know in my other position that I was doing. It was everyone else, and then me last, and that's just. That's just the name of the game and that's just. You know what you have to do dealing with people's homes and you know making sure that everything is is done right and taken care of well. But but yeah, I'm so much happier now. Thank you for mentioning that and saying that. What about you? How's DC? How are your work trips? Tell?
Speaker 1:us about that. Okay, so things are actually really great for me as well. They weren't? I mean, my job is amazing. I love my job. It is also incredibly stressful, but I do adore every moment of it. I am in a position where every day, I want to scream mom, get the camera, because, like, like, I've made it, I feel that I've made it. You know, I'm in a position now where what is that? There's a. There is a I can't think of his name. I like him a lot, but he's like a motivational speaker, like a keynote speaker and he talks about the younger generation.
Speaker 2:gets in jobs and they leave because they're not making an impact and only wait like three weeks and it's like, well, what did you expect after three weeks?
Speaker 1:I didn't, have never had that thought process. But right now I am in a position where I do get to make an impact, where I do get to affect change, and I have the autonomy. And it's well in my job description that decisions I make can affect thousands of people, for the better or the bad, if I'm not doing my job well, but for the better, and I absolutely adore it. So my job is great. I have been where I was.
Speaker 1:I mean not the most glamorous places, I mean not the most glamorous places, but I mean we're talking Tucson, des Moines, florida, salt Lake City a couple of times, puerto Rico, back here in San Antonio, chicago, just literally all over the place, nonstop. And I love it. And I know we've told you this, I told you this my social life that was taking a fucking beating, listener, like if those of you who do know me, you know that I'm a very social person and it was tough moving to a whole new city, leaving all of my beloved friends behind, and then getting to new city, getting on the road, with work right away and not having any friends. But Asia, let me tell you something. Tell me, that has all turned around.
Speaker 2:Good, I know, and I told you it would. I remember that was one thing that you were concerned with and I said look, just focus on work and just knock it out of the park, like I know you will, and that will happen when it's ready. And I do remember one of our conversations and I hope you don't mind me saying that you were a little like you were sad.
Speaker 2:And it hurt me to see you that way that I couldn't just show up at your door with a bottle of wine and be like girl, let it out. You know what I mean. And we facetimed every now and then. It was mostly just like through tax and stuff. But, like you know, I, I, I timing's everything, and that time wasn't it, but now it's it.
Speaker 1:It it is I am. I got very lucky again, so I ended up the building I chose to live in and I didn't realize this at the time but is also one of the more coveted communities in the dc area for like dc proper and people that I have met that don't live there.
Speaker 1:when they find out where I live, they're like oh you have the best community. And I'm like, again, I got this lucky twice in a row. Um, I have, you know, stepped out of my comfort zone and just waltzed into little rooftop, get togethers by myself and introduced myself, maybe by pouring shots down people's throats, but you know, they can't say no to me when I'm offering them a shot. Very you, I know, but I've ended up meeting some people. They've invited me to their social circles.
Speaker 1:I've gone to the exclusive group chats and, uh, now, like I cannot say that I think I'm going to make some really good friends there because I've already been out and doing things and going to events and games and shows and and everything with this new circle of people that I've met, that all live in my building and they all take care of each other, and I am so excited for what the future is going to hold for me up there.
Speaker 2:That's amazing. That makes me so happy to hear that. It makes my heart flutter to hear someone that I care deeply about be able to find their footing. And it's scary Not everyone, you know. Both of us are very social people and some people are terrified, which is sometimes why they don't make the jump to try something new or meet new people. But we have a gift that we're blessed with, that we were born with, that we're able to. We don't care, we're going to stand out, we'll say hello, we will initiate that conversation and I I'm very, I feel that we're very blessed to have that in us, because that's not the norm and and I'm like, why aren't more people like that? But it's because it's fucking scary as fuck and it's hard. And you know, tell me.
Speaker 1:No, it's funny how you say that, because I did meet someone recently and you got to follow the story. So I live. I'll say my unit number is 316. I don't care if anybody figures out where I live, it doesn't matter, but anyway. So while meeting some of my new friends, somebody says oh, hey guys, guess what? The same apartment that Jay lives into. Our former friend also used to live in that apartment and I was like all right, cool. So we chat a little bit. Well, later on that night, while the group chat was popping off, I realized that person was still in the group chat.
Speaker 2:So I messaged him.
Speaker 1:And I was like, hey, are you the former 316 resident? Love it and 316 resident? And he's like yes, and I'm like, well, I live there. Now. We chatted a little bit and then this guy was really refreshing because just in a very platonic and friendly way, he's like, hey, let's meet this week for coffee. And I'm like, yeah, I'm down, sure, thinking that it's like an, an empty invite, you know just like a conversation ender kind of thing.
Speaker 1:He's like how does wednesday sound? Like sounds good. He's like 9 am, I'm, I'll be there, oh wow. And we met three days later, holy shit, and we had a couple hours of conversation, wow, and just got to know each other and about the city and the people in the building and about what we do for work and what our plans are, what we've done in the past what we want to be when we're here, right, but like he was up there, I think people would be much happier all around totally.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you know that that's amazing, that's a great story, you know. And again, it's about having that strength to be in the initiator and you know, I think that there's a big fear of um, I'm getting turned down yes, um what's, what's, what's the word? Of rejection rejection clearly I'm not familiar with oh my god term at all.
Speaker 2:Um, but you know, we're all, even the most confident of us are, are you know, we have that fear of rejection and you know, I just think that, with, with that, if people can be confident and just like, oh fuck it, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna go out on a limb, and especially if it's something platonic you know what I mean it's just like, then what's there to be scared about? So they make flake plans or they flake or whatever it may be Like.
Speaker 1:You know, someone has to initiate it and sometimes, but as scary as it is, just fucking do it Well again, it's funny you say that because, as forward as I like to be with my friends and my comfort level, because obviously when I was here I knew these streets, I knew these people, If I didn't know them directly. There were some Venn diagram overlap with another social circle.
Speaker 2:Which is how we met.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and I had no issue walking up to a stranger in a bar and be like hi, you know, I've seen you on social media. What's your name, let's have a drink and yada, yada, yada, right, um, but with like this, this, this guy, you know, our 316 brotherhood, as I call it, since we share the same apartment um, I was like let me take a page out of his book and I translated that over into like dating okay, so while I'm on these apps um and as you love those apps?
Speaker 1:I do. And as soon as the conversation is like, well, what are you doing? No plans, no plans. I'm like, fine, cool, let's meet tonight seven o'clock this bar, are you in? And they're like, yeah, and it was so nice that I was just able to set up dates like right away, instead of this like endless talking into the void or, you know, making these bullshit plans.
Speaker 2:And I was like boom, let's meet.
Speaker 1:If you're not doing anything, I'm not doing anything. This bar in four hours. Let's go for a casual drink.
Speaker 2:And you know, I think that, especially in such a um as small as DC is as largely populated as it is, in that as small as DC is as largely populated as it is, in that you know density, you know of a spot like I think that, since it's so transient, people are a lot more willing to do that versus someone who's born and raised and they're in the same city and they have their clique and they're just like into their own circles and stuff like that. I think that, like you said, if more people were able to be that strong and do that, they'd be a lot happier and the world would be a better place because it's like you don't be scared.
Speaker 2:And again you're calling them dates and maybe they were. But you know, I think that even friendships started. Okay, let's see what's going on. Oh're better off as friends, but I'm glad we met because now, hey, I have someone to go to that drag show with, or, you know, for brunch, or, you know, a friday or saturday night out, you know well since you brought up drag, I did okay.
Speaker 1:So I shout out to christy waters I missed her so much this last weekend. Um, because one I haven't seen her in so long she's doing fabulous by the way, I have to check up on her.
Speaker 1:I I love seeing her shows. Obviously, we're always up there front and center, all right. Well, I decided to venture out to a drag show at this place. It's only about four or five blocks from my apartment and so I went. I went with one of my new friends from my building and it was a lot of fun it was. There were about 15, 16 different Queens, and a few of them were brand new, and so and they and they weren't shy about it, and of course, the host was making all the jokes that drag Queens make about them being brand new, but they were out there, given that they're all, and it was amazing, it was choreographed. They did all these different numbers, but the main queen, the host of the event, who is um, miss mia vanderbilt was that name?
Speaker 1:absolutely amazing and just just so good at what she does, obviously why she's the main queen and the host of it. And then she has her drag daughter, who is miss faye vanderbilt, who is probably one of the most highest energy of drag queens that I've ever seen. It was.
Speaker 2:It was absolutely gorgeous and you know I love that, I love ones that dance and cartwheels and yes and death drops oh my god, it was everything, it was absolutely everything, and of course.
Speaker 1:So when I was there apparently it was supposed to be at another venue that had a last minute cancellation and this, their person they work with, was able to find it in this little dupont italian kitchen, also known as dick, as they call it oh, I love that, yes it's.
Speaker 1:It's right in the middle of what used to be the gay district and it was there. So it wasn't the best venue. It was long and narrow and whatnot, but they made it work. They used it as a runaway, they did all their dances and flips and death drops and it was fantastic. And then I'd go to find out that that main queen went ahead two days later and went to perform for our queens of salt lake city housewives. Oh, yeah, yeah. So if you guys aren't already following, you guys need to go follow miss mia vanderbilt. She is fantastic, but yet I can't wait to go back and follow more of her shows. Um, I'm gonna be there the next groupie of course you better be, and there's always drag.
Speaker 1:In fact, I did sign up for a, at the end of this month, a drag race.
Speaker 2:Okay, tell me what it's about.
Speaker 1:It's not what you think it is, because I might cancel. It is one of those like you know, those for charity, or like walk a mile in her shoes and men in heels. Right, that's what I thought it was. I'm like that'd be fun to get out so my little new friends were telling me about it and they're like, yeah, it's like the whole thing only lasts like four minutes and I was like wait what? No it's an actual race in heels and I said stop, count me out, I'm about to snap some ankles.
Speaker 1:Right no, thank you, but no, I still might do it and pay my $45 for charity and just walk the little three or four blocks, but I ain't running in heels, I'll tell you that much.
Speaker 2:Yeah, in heels, no, thank you. Speaking of Salt Lake, oh my. God, are you caught up?
Speaker 1:I cannot peel my eyes away from the screen. I am so caught up.
Speaker 2:These women, they know what they're fucking do. These producers know what they're fucking doing. I am obsessed with Bronwyn. She's my new favorite. I like her a lot I.
Speaker 1:I like her a lot. She doesn't seem shady yet you know it's gonna. You know it's gonna come right, um, I like how one she is. Clearly her man is filthy, rich, but as as dramatic and eccentric and over the top that she is, yeah, from the four episodes that I've watched, I feel she's kind of down to earth oh, yeah, yeah. Like how can someone be so eccentric and down to earth at the same time? She's like ostentatious, yeah, but down to earth totally. That's what all these drag queens should aspire to be.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Even my beloved Kyle Richards. She isn't as down to earth as Bronwyn is. Okay, okay, but I have to ask you this about Salt Lake City. You're fully caught up, right, yeah, okay, what in the actual fuck is Mary talking about?
Speaker 2:I've asked my female friends about this. Oh, her just putting a tampon.
Speaker 1:Okay. So for those of you who aren't watching first, of all shame on you yeah, you need to be watching the real housewives of salt lake. Real housewives of salt lake city. Yeah, you have to watch it anyhow. Um, I was worried how they're going to come back after the whole monica g thing oh, and I told you that we're going to do perfectly without her.
Speaker 2:Well, she, like she doesn't fucking exist. I love it amazing, um, anyway.
Speaker 1:So they're out at some, whatever they're doing, and everyone has to go pee. And then mary's like I don't use public restrooms. I'm like, well, you just don't pee. She's like no, I put a super jumbo tampon in and that holds all my urine that was, and I was just like. Well, I don't think that's how the female anatomy works, so she must be putting it in the other spot down there. Um, but she was saying that she just uses a tampon to hold her she's crazy.
Speaker 2:I don't. I don't have a vagina so I can't speak on that, but when she said it, I'm just like.
Speaker 1:This woman is fucking crazy fucking delulule like she's. She is delusional abso-fucking-lutely.
Speaker 2:Mary fucking cosby is delusional as fuck.
Speaker 1:Oh my god, it's cosby. I've been saying crosby this whole time oh no, it's cosby.
Speaker 2:Diehard fan over here allegedly.
Speaker 1:I'm fucking delusional exactly yeah, that's crazy oh my god, um I. What else about this whole, this whole season? It's just out. First of all, center who center of the girls.
Speaker 2:Oh, angie, oh that right holding the snowflake. I know how was she center snowflake? Because she's, she's, I, I.
Speaker 1:How has she sent her snowflake holder. Because, she's stirring it up.
Speaker 2:I didn't see that coming.
Speaker 1:I didn't see that coming. I was surprised yeah because who was? Sent her last season, I don't recall.
Speaker 2:I think it was what's her name, Not the other blonde, not Whitney.
Speaker 1:Oh, I love her Receipts that one.
Speaker 2:Yes, her receipts. Yes one her heather, gay heather.
Speaker 1:I absolutely love her she's lost so much she looks great, she looks great, I mean she always looked good, but she looks great she looks.
Speaker 2:She looks fantastic. I you know I don't like how she's. I think you know I hate whitney, but in this last she said it perfectly that Whitney's just so traumatized by the Monica and oh, what is it, heather? Heather's so traumatized by Whitney's, I mean, I'm sorry, by Monica's. Oh my God.
Speaker 1:Let me correct it, thank you. Heather Gay is so burnt and traumatized by the distrust that she had with Monica that she is now placing that distrust wrongfully on these newcomers.
Speaker 2:Bronwyn, mostly Mainly Bronwyn yeah.
Speaker 1:Because the other newcomer, bitch Brittany right.
Speaker 2:That's her name. Oh my god, she's a mess. I hate her. I can't stand her. She looks like a hot mess and she needs to get herself together. She's on camera.
Speaker 1:She acts like it and she is going through petty relationship drama that, like young girls go through, and it is so sad it's sad, it's it's pathetic I.
Speaker 2:I don't want to say that I feel bad for her I obviously no one.
Speaker 1:You can empathize with her. But, girl, you're not 20, you're not 30, you're not 40, you're probably not even 50. You're probably a little older than that, I think yeah probably but come on. But no, uh, heather gay is definitely being very aggressive to to bronwyn because of it's a newcomer and she doesn't let her hurt again.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I get it again. But I mean I'm just kind of like, girl, calm down. I mean Bronwyn flat out said you know, I said it, of course she didn't say it, as you know, jokingly and she said it great Like hey, everyone's talking shit about everyone. I'm doing it too. So, like what the fuck's up? Like like don't call me out. And I love that she was like y'all were the ones that were saying this about that person. And you know, here she is. What did you say about her? Like good for you, bronwyn. Like like, get them, Don't let them walk all over you. And you're the one with the most fashion, oh my God. And on Andy Cohen's live he had Christian Siriano, I think that's his last name.
Speaker 1:He was on Project Runway.
Speaker 2:He's like I don't do housewives because they don't pay. I love it. And he's like actually one of my longtime clients is bronwyn and everything she's wearing for her um interviews is like a custom couture from his line wow, yeah, yeah, oh, so she's the only one that's actually following through and hanging what is up with these?
Speaker 1:with these celebrities just not paying their tabs?
Speaker 2:and you know and maybe that's why they stay so wealthy is because they want everything for free. I know.
Speaker 1:That's what I will always be. Oh, my God, this is so funny. So for the drag show actually, yeah, my friend and I was like I was slightly annoyed because again we needed cash and for some reason I don't know any of my pin numbers.
Speaker 2:It's a long story behind there.
Speaker 1:It's me being dumb and dramatic and ordering multiple debit cards and then changing pins and not being there. I don't know. I don't want to talk about it. I'm fucking stupid I'm delusional um, but I know my pin numbers. I was like, hey, I can't pull cash out because I'm dumb, and uh, you pull cash out and I'll just ven with you yeah, and then she's like, well, the atm's gonna is going to charge me a fee.
Speaker 1:And I was like, yeah, that's what happens. And I was like, fine, I'll pay the fee. And she was like, well, it's $3.50. Just send me. I'm like, girl, I'll just send you five extra dollars. And part of me was like, why are you being so weird about an ATM fee? And then I realized this is why I'll never be rich, because I just throw my money around as if I didn't trade my time for it.
Speaker 1:Exactly Right, I just throw it around left and right, and people like my new friend, who are a little more particular with the money, will always be more comfortable than I will be. Right, right, that's all the rich stay rich and the poor get poorer.
Speaker 2:Exactly. No, yeah, that's totally true with that, you know, and I mean I think of that also and I'm just like, well, but it's like, yeah, I, I'm, I'm like you too, which is why I'm always like broke, but you know, I mean like it's insane.
Speaker 1:No, I get it, but it is like my own it's dumb. It is dumb, but anyway I'm sorry. That's crazy how all these houses aren't paying for anything. I keep hearing these stories that they're hiring this and that are reserving ballrooms and places and whatnot, because they're gonna be.
Speaker 2:They're hiring this and that or reserving ballrooms and places and whatnot, and they're expecting, because they're going to be. They're going to talk about it or show it on the show Like I'm getting you like Exposure, exactly and it's just like calm the fuck down so dumb, so dumb.
Speaker 1:I'm obsessed. But let me tell you something else. So during a couple of my days at my apartment, when I was just vegging out and doing nothing and can't find a remote, and I finished the last episode, the most recent episode of Salt Lake City, peacock immediately went to the next Housewives and which was Orange County. That's what I thought, because I stopped watching it years ago. It is good. It is so good. I highly recommend you get back into it with this specific season, because they're doing the whole thing where they bring back the dramatic housewives to create more tension and whatnot.
Speaker 2:And it is playing out Alexis Bellino.
Speaker 1:There's a door shining the door.
Speaker 2:Yes, have you seen the memes for it yet? Oh my God. Yeah, you haven't. No, I'm going to send them. Why haven't you? Because I'm going to send them, of course. Why haven't you?
Speaker 1:Because I know you don't watch it. I don't, but I need you to watch it because it has served. It has brought the drama, it has brought the entertainment. They don't quite have the same producers as Salt.
Speaker 2:Lake City, I'll say that much.
Speaker 1:Right, but it is really good. And then I also got caught on the new season of the new New York Housewives yeah, so that's still interesting.
Speaker 2:And Jenna Lyons is back.
Speaker 1:She's in it because we were concerned. She is back.
Speaker 2:I did see like a brief where she's like I'm stinky and then they were all smelling her armpit or something. Yeah.
Speaker 1:It was weird, yeah, total BO Didn't put deodorant on that's weird.
Speaker 2:That was really odd. I was about to say I was like you know, don't?
Speaker 1:I mean never mind, I'm not gonna say it, I know, I know, I know, oh gosh, but um, I am kind of obsessed with the housewives right now yeah mainly because there's so much to watch there's quite a bit.
Speaker 2:I actually I don't know if there's new beverly hills, but like I did like a binge and caught up on all of them, which is why I'm back on um soli, because I had, like um after you had left or whatever. Like I, I didn't have a partner in crime to watch him with, so I kind of like just like left him hanging and then caught up and I cheated. I usually like when I miss so many, I just watch the reunion oh, that makes sense and then catch up on all the like good stuff absolutely, that's what they talk about um exactly.
Speaker 2:So I did finally see the ending of um the beverly hills one, yes, where um what's her name? With the american ballet or whatever, where?
Speaker 1:she like fainted and left.
Speaker 2:But then what's um kyle richard's sister, um?
Speaker 1:why can I? Why can I? Because she's she's my favorite hilton. Oh, but then what's Kyle Richards' sister? Why can't I? Because she's my favorite Hilton. Oh, the older sister.
Speaker 1:Okay, not Kim Kathy, I would never speak for Kim Kathy Hilton was like, yeah, she did that on purpose, because she knew I was going to get her. Did you hear that coming Girl? That is what is her name. I can't think of her. The one who, oh the one who passed out the fake um, what is her name? Shit, I know people are screaming it right now filthy rich.
Speaker 1:I love her, I know I don't like her that much though, but sometimes I do, sometimes I don't but what I do like about her is that she she's not one to be like this person's owns a social circle and don't screw with them because she had lunch with some of the OC girls, right, and you know, heather the bro.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yes.
Speaker 1:Heather, the bro is amazing.
Speaker 2:Oh, she's my favorite. I've always loved her. I adore her. She was just like class.
Speaker 1:One of the housewives is having an issue with Heather and I cannot think of her name. Please somebody looking it up thank you um miss.
Speaker 2:Look faster this is me stalling oh, my god, we're talking about not dory sutton stratton.
Speaker 1:Thank you so, sun had lunch with a couple of the girls from OC and one of the girls from OC was having an issue, a potential issue with Heather and Sutton was like, girl, you don't go against Heather, like Sutton's very wealthy, very successful, has her own circles. But I like the fact that she is not ashamed to be like, listen, like it's a doggy world out there and your reputation relies on everything and she may be wrong, but don't fuck with this bitch because it's gonna it's gonna end badly heather deborah was never wrong though, of course, and her and her husband are so adorable.
Speaker 2:I adore that and she's so like, like about her family and that comes first and no matter what, and even when she is having problems like with with other women in the in the show, like she's always very poised. She has her moment and if it needs to just be like we're going to just move past it, she does it in such a classy way like hashtag goals, you know.
Speaker 1:Yes, I cannot think of the I don't know the girls that well because I just watched it. But there's another girl in OC. She's a little bit thicker, a little bit bigger Brunette. Yes, her Right.
Speaker 2:She's not a drinker as much. I think, but she was always drunk.
Speaker 1:No, I like her a lot because she's also one of those where she'll be the first to be like yeah, I caused drama. Yeah, I said this Very Khloe Kardashian, you know like oops, drama. Yeah, I said this like very, very chloe kardashian, you know like oops, my bad. And then we're, we're in this now, kind of thing. I like, I like her a lot.
Speaker 2:Um, anyways, all that to say, I am recently knee deep in housewives and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon same, and you know, that's always something that we're always going to be able to chat about, and some of our other listeners are obsessed also, so we need to make that a thing. Oh my God, tell me. Speaking of shows, ryan Murphy did it again with Monsters.
Speaker 1:Boy, girl Crazy.
Speaker 2:I oh that shower scene. Do you think that was a prosthetic? You know, so that's huge.
Speaker 1:I have not looked done my reading on it yet, but I do know there's an American law that says like they can show full whatever, but it just cannot be in a sexual manner, so it can't be erect. Essentially, but I don't know if it's a prosthetic or not because, like on white Lotus, they showed a really massive dong and even though it wasn't erect, the actor said he wore a prosthetic.
Speaker 2:You know what I do, remember that. Yeah of and even though it wasn't erect, the actor said he wore a prosthetic. You know what I do remember that?
Speaker 1:Yeah, of course I remember it. How would you ever forget that? That is ingrained in my memory to the day I died. No, but Ryan Murphy's monster, the Menendez Brothers story Intense.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I had no idea. You know, I was very young when all that was going on and I didn't know it was that intense and deep going on and I didn't know it was that intense and deep. You know, I knew like some of the stuff but I didn't realize it was like that and of course it's like done for a show, like where it's kind of elaborated quite a bit, and it's ryan murphy like right and but he does it so well he does and he glamorizes it and it's beautiful, beautiful people, and I've been looking back the like the, the roman and his brothers.
Speaker 1:They're handsome. Yeah, they're pretty handsome, and I feel like he casted really well because they have good resemblances yeah, but of course he just made sure they were drunk dead gorgeous, all those shower scenes, even the ones with the two brothers themselves.
Speaker 2:That was. That's what apparently the family is upset about. I don't think that it was like Like that, but again, yes, it was, for he knows the audience.
Speaker 1:That he's Right Trying to attract and he doesn't throw you all at it. But no, but I do remember, so apparently the Apparently.
Speaker 2:The meme Anyways.
Speaker 1:The Brothers, menendez brothers. They have Facebook pages.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Profiles. The brothers, venice brothers. They have facebook pages. Okay, profiles, not even pages, facebook profiles that are under their direct name resilient uh, elio menendez and uh the other one, other menendez, eric eric. Yes, and but they're. They're ran by the family. But unless you actually click and read, like the pinned post that says this is ran by the family, people don't realize that. They think it's just like them and they have like facebook in prison. Anyways, the family was pretty upset that ryan murphy alluded to like an incestuous relationship between them too, and then ryan murphy pretty much said I have no desires to speak to anybody, them or the family.
Speaker 1:I made this series, uh, based off the facts and I just dramatized it but, they're not going to convince me otherwise, love it.
Speaker 2:I was like good for him yeah, good for like no one's gonna cancel ryan murphy no, that's like a producer you know what I mean like, and he knows what he's doing, so he's also the creator of glee and anybody who made glee. I love glee all of it, all of it, all of it, all of it I am.
Speaker 1:Well, let me ask you this aj what do you have coming in the next couple of months? I know we have. We're entering our holiday season.
Speaker 2:Oh my God, it's actually the start of the social season for October, so, like I'm booked every fucking weekend pretty much until like past New Year, think I have any travel, travel, travel plans other than within texas, like I think, for the weekend after um, after halloween, I think I'm going to houston. Um, there's gonna be dj, nina, flowers, love um and rudy's opening effort which we love um I think that's happening the Friday after Halloween and then Saturday, eric Ibiza, who's a huge producer in Mexico.
Speaker 2:He's actually going to be playing in Houston on Saturday, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to be doing that, which is like my next thing, that I'm really focusing on.
Speaker 1:That is exciting.
Speaker 2:You have some travels, aren't you going to new york or something? I?
Speaker 1:do uh next week, uh, after I finish this trip, I will be well. First I'm going to up to austin to go see acl let's talk about that real quick.
Speaker 2:So who are you most excited to see?
Speaker 1:dualipa, yes so I have a little small story, as I do with everything.
Speaker 2:Please.
Speaker 1:It wasn't until summer of 22 that I got into Dua Lipa, Got obsessed with her and a few months before then one of my good friends, he, was like hey, I have an extra ticket to go see front row seats to Dua Lipa in Vegas. Do you want to come? I got the hotel already, just by your flight and I was like who the fuck is that? I don't want to go oh no, and I turned it down.
Speaker 1:So then, fast forward a few months. Now. I'm obsessed with dualipa and I'm telling my friend about her and he's like, yeah, you dumbass, that's who I invited you to go see and I was like what the fuck, I love it. So now I have my opportunity and I'm going to do exactly what I did last year. So last year for acl I, my main artist to go see was shania Twain.
Speaker 2:Okay, yes.
Speaker 1:Yeah. So while everyone wants to see all the big headliners, I saw some non-headliner. I waited at the station. I was going to be on for the entire previous set. I waited, and as soon as it cleared out I beelined to the very front. And then, of course, it got filled for Shania and I was fucking front center Love it and I'm going to do.
Speaker 2:Of course it got filled for shania and I was fucking front center and I'm gonna do the exact same thing for dualipa. Did you hear that um chapel roan was like like they, her set was like I think the highest that they've recorded and they haven't released numbers, but they said it was like insane.
Speaker 1:Yes, and it's fantastic because she's not even one of the headliners, right? Yeah, I'm super excited. So, mainly, my primary is Dua and my second is Chapel. I got a couple of jerseys where I have their names on the back of them Cute. So I'm going to be wearing that, dressed more conservative than I normally do.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:But so it's going to be be dua and then chapel and then, uh, orville peck.
Speaker 2:That's what I also want to see he plays early afternoons, so I definitely see that one pretty up close too.
Speaker 1:So that's my plans this weekend, and then I head to new york, uh long island specifically okay for a really good friend of mine who is, uh, leaving his job and having a big farewell party, and I'll be there for about four or five days and then I have another trip planned to inland Florida, but Florida's obviously being devastated right now, yeah, so. I need to confirm whether that's happening or not, and even if it is happening, I know that flights in and out of Florida are almost impossible to get.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:So I may have to cancel that trip, but it's just fine, because it gives me more time to spend at home, right?
Speaker 2:Exactly, which is way better for right now. Absolutely, that's exciting. I mean so with, like it's Milton right Hurricane.
Speaker 1:Milton yeah.
Speaker 2:It's so devastating. Yeah, milton, yeah it's so devastating, like I saw, like I saw some photos of Orlando and I have a couple friends there because I used to work at Disney, so some people that I had met there ages ago they're fine, they're good, but there were some photos released of like Disney not underwater, but like there was like flooded.
Speaker 1:That is, yeah. It's really sad. I think Tampa got the brunt of it, obviously, and I think they're three feet above sea level and then the storm surges were expected to be about 12 feet. So if it does get that bad and right now I think it's still continuing to rise it's going to be Katrina-level devastation. Oh my.
Speaker 2:God, this is insane.
Speaker 1:But we cannot finish on this no so let's circle back. Aj, what's your? Give me one of your sneak peek Halloween plans, costumes.
Speaker 2:So okay, so I, I did that voodoo king, and so this weekend the theme of the party that I'm going to is 80s cartoon. So I'm like doing research because I'm not that old right.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:I'm doing a Teddy Ruxpin spin Okay. So I'm going to redo my Cocaine, daddy Bear.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, that was so cute.
Speaker 2:And kind of use that same base but like kind of do repurpose it and kind of use that same base but like kind of do repurpose it, and then another friend is doing like famous duos. So with that one I don't have a partner yet, but I have a couple of ideas, depending on who wants to join me and be the other one. But I was thinking like Ash, Ketchum and Pikachu.
Speaker 1:That'd be adorable, yes, so.
Speaker 2:I'll be Pikachu, and then I think I'm just going to like, redo, like my slutty little red riding hood for one of the other parties.
Speaker 1:Okay, super cute.
Speaker 2:So that's what I'm thinking for the main one for Halloween, which is on a Thursdayursday. Um, I'm not sure yet, but I need, I need to. I mean, you know me, I'm gonna like turn it out. So I love that, are you? What are you thinking, or what are?
Speaker 1:you doing. I have one costume in mind right now. I've been thinking about it for the last week or so and I want to be the fucking phantom of the opera. No, I want to do like egyptian pharaoh. Yeah, uh, the whole headpiece, everything, um, of course, probably gonna make the costume myself, yeah, but I am I'm pretty excited about it. I want to do the makeup though, the whole thing yeah, the whole thing.
Speaker 1:You better pull out that fucking singer and get it done, right absolutely um, but with that said aj this has been amazing so fun I know, and hopefully this will kick us off into back to our distant meetings again but, I am so glad we got to do this in person listener. I really hope you guys are still there. We loved you guys from the last year, last season, um, hang in, we're here. We're here for you again, exactly.
Speaker 2:And I'm super excited. So am I.
Speaker 1:This has been so much fun.
Speaker 2:I miss you so much, and, listeners, we will talk to you again, so until then, bye, guys. We'll see you later.
