hello, hello, hello, and welcome back to dose of delusion. It is me, your host, yours truly jay and I am sitting well, miles and miles away from the glorious, the fresh face, like he had a whole day. Ah, quintessential aj, the silver fox aj. How are you tell me everything?
Speaker 2hi, um, I'm good, good, good, good. Um, I did have a day off what did you do today? I absolutely nothing. I did nothing whatsoever. I'm looking around at the piles of clothes that I decided to separate because I did plan on doing laundry and then I was just like you know what, fuck it. And I put on this stupid movie that it's like from the 80s. It's called Kroll. It's like a cult classic, it's like fantasy but sci-fi, and I just kind of finished watching that. That's all I did.
Speaker 1I have not. I've never heard of that. Actually, Is it a holiday classic?
Speaker 2no, no, I haven't. I haven't gotten to those yet. Um, like, I was just one of those like fantasy nerds, so I did um watch that when I was very, very young and and I saw it on amazon. So I was like, oh, let me see what this is about. Well, not what it's about, but let me go ahead and refresh myself and watch it, but what have you been up to?
Speaker 1A little trip down memory lane, as you would say. You know, what's funny about the whole doing absolutely nothing is some of my new friends and acquaintances here, even my concierge. They'll be like Mr Jeremy, we haven't seen you in two whole days. What have you been doing? And I'm like nothing. I left my apartment. They're like what? I'm like? Well, other than to take my dog out, which when I do that and I sneak him out the back door so no one sees me, I'm like yeah, I said I. It's like for my mental health, I will go to the grocery store. I will stock up on snacks and foods and what I need. I will make sure I have everything that I need to not have to leave my couch for like two days. I need to do it like once a month. Yeah, once a month. I need a couch rot. It's fantastic, I love it.
Speaker 2So that's what you've been up to.
Speaker 1No, that's not what I've been up to this time. No, I've actually been up to quite a bit. I've been just going out and exploring. I've been to. I went to a couple of shows, exploring. I've been to. I went to a couple of shows, I went to a gala, I gone to a couple of museums. I've really just been kind of going nonstop and really trying to enjoy so much, since I'm finally been able to slow down and settle down and be here. Well, I guess I'm not slowing down at all, but settling down and and learning and doing more things, which has been so exciting. It's been so much fun.
Speaker 2So like being a tourist.
Speaker 1Yeah, kind of that's fun. Yeah, I have been.
Speaker 2I mean I would do that here in San Antonio and just be like, do the river walk and like that kind of stuff and it's just it's fun to like just pretend to be a tourist for a day. Like it's fun, I like doing stuff like that.
Speaker 1Know, a long time ago I used to live in las vegas and prior to moving there, of course, I had visited there many times for the funsies and whatnot. And then one of my, one of my best friends from college, lives there and I was going to visit her quite often. I found I could get like a 60 70 round trip when it was all the car airlines it opened up in my city. So I was always in vegas non-stop. So then, once I moved to vegas, I never partied, I never went to the strip, but me and a good friend of mine named christian he's fucking fabulous every once in a while we would just go play tourists and we'd go up and down the strip, casinos and shops and look at the bellagio fountain, and it was so much fun just playing tourist that's fun.
Speaker 2You know the speed of bellagio. I do love their like flower room that they always like different like scenes. It's always so fabulous, like the horticulture that goes on in there is just fabulous.
Speaker 1I love it you know I went there a couple times. Well, funny, because I've been to bellagio many times but never went to the botanical garden and I, when I went, it was amazing, and they changed it often for the themes. I can't imagine how much goes into doing that.
Speaker 2The planning and plannings that happen in Cher.
Speaker 1Excuse me, but I was also laughing because I just watched Miss Congeniality last night. One and two. We had a little marathon. Is it a marathon if it's just two movies? A little double feature Somewhat, and so it was just like, obviously the first, miss Congeniality, was very reminiscent of San Antonio, right I think my friends were getting super annoyed so I was like, oh, I've been there, I've been there, I've been there, I know where that is like shut the fuck up, I love it. And then we watched obviously the second one right after, which was all about the vegas theme.
Speaker 2So it was, it was a, it was a really, really good time and you also were saying I've been there, I've been there, I've been there not quite as much, actually, even though I've been in all those places too.
Speaker 1Exactly um no, I also recently went to uh, I want to see the pentatonix oh, yes, yes, you mentioned that.
Speaker 2How was, how was?
Speaker 1that that was so much fun. Aj I, it was one of those things where I've been a big fan of them for a long, long time and I just I don't know why, but I just never like saw them as like, um, like an actual group, like like I don't know how to say like you know, you want to see celine, you want to see someone, so you know whatever's coming into town, but for some reason I just never saw them as like a touring artist to lay eyes on. I thought they were just like it's christmas time, where's the new pentatonix album, and that's it, right, um, so when I finally did get tickets to go and and whatnot, it was such a high energy show. They're fantastic. They're so fucking beautiful, by the way, was?
Speaker 1it their holiday it was their holiday, it was their holiday tour and the cool thing is, like I know the majority of the music and of course they do a lot of covers, most of their songs all covers, uh but they come out with high energy. Even homegirlgirl was pregnant she's probably six, seven months pregnant and she was out there doing the thing and the voices. Okay, first of all we got gypped on our seats, okay, all right. So when we bought our tickets, the diagram on the whatever ticket app we were using showed us like in, like the second high section, so you have like the floor, and so you have like the floor. And then you have the very first section of diagonal seats or whatever, and then, right above that, we got those. That's not bad, good price. We're still kind of close, awesome. But there was still an entire the rest of the section we were in above us and an entire section on top of that. So in retrospect of the whole thing, we were not retrospect, retrospect, but, like you know, in the big picture, you know we were relatively close. Well, when we get to the actual auditorium where we were held, there was no third section and we were at the top of the second section. So we spent about $200 each per ticket. Now, three rows behind me was the ceiling, was the top, and those tickets were like 60 bucks a piece and we were like if we were going to be this far, we would have just bought those tickets. It was super, yeah, it was super annoying.
Speaker 1But after I went to the restroom at the intermission and I saw the little what is the guy who, like, stands and just like watches and makes sure the usher right, he's a little old man, super cute. And I saw the little what is the guy who, like, stands and just like watches and makes sure the usher right, he's a little old man, super cute. And I was like so what are the chances you can move down to an empty seat? He's like, if they're not your tickets, you can't go. And I was like, listen, I said I spent 200 bucks to sit way up there and that's not what was promised to me. I'm like, but I do see empty seats down there, like just one other person, and he's like, and he like nods to go. And we got super close at the very end for the second half of the show, I know, and it was so cool so it was awesome.
Speaker 2It was it doesn't. It doesn't hurt to ask. I mean, what's the worst?
Holiday Plans and Friend Hangouts
Speaker 1they could say no, yeah yeah, every unanswered, every unasked question is a no right and the worst is, I was gonna stay back where I was to begin with, but no, it was. Uh, it was such a great show good, that's exciting.
Speaker 2Speaking of holidays, it's, it's. I've had several friends givings already, so, but I was smart this year and did like smaller portions, because it's all about the sites for me. So, um, I did two. Um, I have the infamous winesgiving coming up on Wednesday.
Speaker 1Oh, Kelly.
Speaker 2Yeah. So she actually just got back from France. Um, she went on a little family thing with her mom and, um, maybe her sister, I'm not too sure Some other family members and, um, she's like I don't have details, I'm still jet lagged. But see you Wednesday, bring wine, maybe. I don't know what there's going to be and I was like, of course I'm going to be there, which means I, unfortunately, will be skipping this year on going down to my family. There's like some slight family drama-ish, but not really, and I'm just kind of like no, no, no, no, get your shit together and then y'all better be hanging out for Christmas, or I'm going to skip that too, because I will not be going for nonsense. My mom did invite to drive me and I'm going to break her the news tomorrow that I shan't be able to attend, but they'll be glad.
Speaker 1How about we bring her on as a guest right now and you tell her live on the podcast? Wow, shady.
Speaker 2I know my sister will be hearing this and she's going to be pissed, but I will have to break it to her before. But no, she already knows that I wasn't going to make it and I need to let my other sister and my mom know. Um, but they'll be happy because I do have some other plans, like some friends and stuff that I will do.
Speaker 2so I will be, you know, with friends, slash family, or you know right family, um, for thanksgiving, so they won't be sad, you know, for me or whatever, because remember last year, like was it last year or two years ago.
Speaker 1It was last year.
Speaker 2Yes, and it was very, very sad. So, but you know it's, it's if, if I, if I handled it, then I'm going to handle it again.
Speaker 1So and this time I won't be sick, so I will be able to socialize with some people. You know I also did not go home for thanksgiving.
Speaker 1I chose not to because there was at that moment when I made this decision to not go, there was some drama going back home like my parents were going to be moving and I'm like I just don't want to be involved in this move that I know everybody isn't wanted by both parties involved and I don't want to get too many to put their, their drama out there. But I was like you know, I'm just, I'm just not gonna go.
Speaker 1I'll just, I'll set it out and I'll see how it is around christmas time well, here very, very recently, all that drama has resolved and I'm like, well, fuck, I already made the decision to not go and I'm not buying a last minute plane ticket.
Speaker 1No, I know so the hectic like holiday, I know so my mom knows that I'm not gonna go, which is completely okay, because I'm gonna be there early december to hang out with everybody for like a whole week anyways, um, but what I do remember most about last thanksgiving is how you uh committed a grant of larceny and stole food, and it was amazing. No, no, no, no, no, absolutely not.
Speaker 2I did not steal, um, I waited in a very long line and the um cashier register person, um that took my order. They were slammed. She, yeah, um, gave me thanks and gave me food, is what it was gave you thanks and gave you food.
Speaker 1She gave you thanks and give you thighs say that I would never.
Speaker 1Oops. Well, I, I am excited. I have been a lot of the. I've met a few people here, a couple people that have become pretty close with really rapidly in the building, as as ones do. We need to. We need to find this little tribe, right, yeah, um, and, and I have here and I adore it, and they all have dogs and we hang out and it's just. I mean, they're I want to say they're two of the dumbest bitches I know, but realistically, all three of us are the three of them as bitches. That I know, but it is, um, it is so much fun and they're both leaving for the holidays. Uh, some local, some further. But I've just like last year I was like, just bring me a plate. I just want all the thanksgiving plates I put in my freezer and eat them every few days. That's all I want. But, um, no, I'm super excited about it. I, I can't wait because I'm also gonna be off work for like five whole days.
Speaker 2Oh, that's amazing.
Speaker 1And I plan on doing nothing at all.
Speaker 2Yeah, Right On your couch, hey are this is going to be your first like winter in the North?
Speaker 1No so I don't even want to talk about it, AJ.
Speaker 2No, let's talk a smidge.
Speaker 1I'm saying talk, it's been some recently. No, so I was in new york last week right, or a week and a half ago. I went for a few days. I went up to go see his show. Uh, his name is peru florist. He is this brilliant, young, thriving little comedian. He does a lot of like shows and whatnot and he had a little one-man show over at joe's pub and I've been dying to see him. So I finally got my tickets.
Speaker 1I went out there, also had some dinner with a friend, but anyhow, it was very cold in New York Even like. I know it's not that far, it's only 200 something miles from here in DC. But that made a difference. That made a difference. I don't know why, but it did, and I was like okay, I really have to. Like, the peacoat alone wasn't enough. It needed to be the sweater and then the peacoat and the gloves, and I was not prepared. So I thanks for reminding me, because right now we're having a little bit of a warm front, so we're in the high 60s. Okay, and I think you're right, this week I need to go out and I need to buy more beanies, gloves mittens.
Speaker 2Do some online Black Friday shopping.
Speaker 1Or that yeah.
Speaker 2Like get all those sales, Absolutely yeah whatever you can. I saw Macy's was doing some really good stuff, so like there were sweaters for like $19.99. And there were like the heavy, good-knit ones that you'll probably need for up there.
Speaker 1Oh, I did see macy's. My hotel was a one block away from the macy's in new york. Um, it was, of course, I said, in manhattan. Uh, it was just that whole trip out. There was like three days and I had dinner with a few friends that I hadn't seen in a while. Okay, the first time we had dinner at joe's pub. The second time I have to figure out out of the name of it. Um, however I can describe it, you have been to a. You've been to hot joy before, right over. Okay, so you know how.
Speaker 1It's the restaurant that has four or five regular items on the menu and then the rest of the menus are rotating and it's like asian fusion themed. Well, that's where I went it. It was in the Chelsea alphabet or the alphabet neighborhood, and it was very, very similar to that. I'm they take care of you, right, like and that, and that's exactly what they did. Um, of course, got myself my, my bagel, my bacon, egg and cheese. I saw that you kept on eating that over and over. It looked amazing. I can't help it. I'm obsessed. Um, but it was super cute. The whole trip was super easy. I love the fact that it's literally a three-hour train ride away.
Speaker 1That's amazing, I and I can't beat that for super inexpensive too yeah yeah, and then the hotels are adorable, the food, the people, all the people are not.
Speaker 2But did you go like um out or do anything fun?
Speaker 1so I did not uh, I did not the trip. That wasn't the purpose of the trip, but I do need to go back because I did meet some people that was there that did invite me out to certain type of bars and whatnot and even to certain after parties. Why, like, miss out on this opportunity to go to you know a very unique kind of party? And then he sends me the flyer, information and I saw, like the host of the party and I went and checked out, this homeboy is hosting a party like that every single thursday. It's like, all right, cool, then I'll come back when I'm in the mood to actually go out and party and not have coffee dates in the morning, like I already had scheduled. Um, so I plan on being out there a lot more and I cannot wait. Maybe, when you come up here for world pride, um, we can sneak up to new york for a day and a half or so, for sure I'll be out, for I'll take some time off for that.
Speaker 1So yeah, it'll be fantastic when's world World Pride is next year here in Washington DC, and it is end of June, early July I believe, and it's for 10 days, 12 days. I happen to luckily be here the entire time and not be traveling. I may have rearranged my entire travel schedule just for that. I'll have to look it up. I don't like the face you're making.
Speaker 2I know I'm infamous for double booking.
Speaker 1Okay, no, no, that's okay. Well, hang on, let me, let me get the exact dates for you in london, so okay, she's literally on my computer screen right now because I have to ask you.
Speaker 1I have to ask you about her. I was literally gonna ask you about an article that I read. We are already. This is why you and I are one alike. Okay, so dualipa, in london, I think she's early June, if I recall correctly. Well, I was wrong. I was wrong. It's end of May, early June. It is May 22nd through June 8th.
Speaker 2And when's Dua.
Speaker 1In London. Yeah, that wasn't the article I had pulled up, but since we're doing that, I will. So my friend who um he's fabulous entrepreneur, Um he is the one from New York of the wellness. Yes.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1I should have gone when I was there. How did I forget? All right, next time I promise I'll go see you. I'll go see you.
Speaker 2You should go to the well. Um so, so he actually he's in the process of, I think, opening up a well in London, so he spends a lot of time there, and he invited me and a couple of other of our friends to go see Dua Lipa up in London.
Speaker 1It is an experience. You know you, the energy, the show that she puts on is such high energy. She knows what the fans want. She knows that we want to see the dance breaks, we want to see the choreography, we want to see her sweat flinging back and forth, you know like, and she puts on a show. I would say I don't know if I already put this out there, so I'll probably contradict myself but I would say she probably sang actually live, without using backtrack, probably about 65% of the time. But I mean, when you're having that much high energy of a show, give me some backtrack, give me the backtrack, that way I can hear the quality voice and to the amazing moves.
Speaker 2Bro, that makes sense Okay.
Speaker 1I'm completely okay with it. You know what I mean. I don't mind it. I'm not going to be like it was all lip syncing. Let her fucking lip sync.
Speaker 1Britney Spears walked on stage, push play on like exactly, exactly, yeah, so dualipa is going to be in london a lot, but so I don't know which one you're going to. So this was oh wait, don't mind me, this is dualipa in washington dc, which means, oh okay, shakira is opening for world pride, so we're gonna buy our tickets. I don't know what's going on here, but these people come and they're really big names and their tickets not expensive. For example, we just bought mariah carey tickets for 65 dollars. Oh, her show's like in two weeks and it's not even sold out yet.
Music Industry Rankings and Reality TV
Speaker 1Oh, I know, I know, shocking, great shocking. But speaking of dual lipa, the reason why I wanted to ask you about it which is so funny that you brought her up is I saw I'm looking at this article right now this all the most influential female singers of the last decade, and there's 14 of them. I did not expect to see dual lipa on this list. I'm not saying, first of all, if you're my last episodes, you know I love her. I just thought of the last 10 years.
Speaker 2Dualipa word okay her little dance who do you need? Yeah, that she or no her dualipa dance.
Speaker 1Yes, yes, oh, you know what? Okay, well, where do you think she lands on this list?
Speaker 2I would say, and you said, top how many?
Speaker 1This is out of 14. One to 14.
Speaker 2I would say she's between 8 and 12.
Speaker 1Well, you're wrong. Oh, she's 14. So she barely made the list. She barely made the list. Who else is on the list? Oh, we're going through this baby one by one. Okay, who do you think number 13 is? I will give you, I can't give you a hint, but I'll just tell you who she is. Selena Gomez made the list At number 13. Cute, that's sweet of you, I think. I think selena is absolutely talented. I think she probably made the list because how well-rounded she is right, that's not a dig. That is with her career the acting, the tv show, the justin bieber, everything yeah, she's finally happy now, I think.
Speaker 2I think she isn't she like engaged to someone now or something?
Speaker 1she better be the. My girl, cardi. Cardi b, made the list also as number 12. That's exciting. I'm gonna see who's gonna surprise me on this list. Of course, miley cyrus. No, I, I'm surprised she's as low as she is. That's number 11 before we get. Who do you think is number one? Who do you think is like top three?
Speaker 2I don't. You know, remember, I'm not like a big music person. So you tell me.
Speaker 1Katy Perry made the list At number three. Okay, no, not number three. Okay, ariana Grande made the list, but what number do you think she is Like five, she's eight.
Speaker 2Hmm, that was close.
Speaker 1You were close, but I'm surprised Sia made the list at seven. Okay, who is she Exactly? No, it's a songwriter in her, though. That's what it is no, but that was also in the past how many years Decade. Oh okay, All of these big name songs. Sia is like a mastermind when it comes to like Where's Megan Thee Stallion? I do love her. I adore her. I hope she's on here. Rihanna's number five, lana Del Rey's number four, lady Gaga's number three, because she's always relevant Number two she's absolutely gutted, oh adele adele, and then number one who did?
Speaker 2number one is I'm using your war, guys.
Speaker 1I don't who's like the number one person. You can't you where she. Her name might rhyme with Baylor.
Speaker 2Taylor Swift Okay, okay, so, swift, you wrote this article then.
Speaker 1Clearly that's so stupid Buzzfeed. Dead to me, absolutely dead to me. I really hope you didn't double book yourself too close to my well, me being here for World Pride, but I actually don't think you did, because she in all of May she's going to be in. Oh, what is ES? There's no state that starts with the letters ES is there, so that's not here in America, is it? Is that España? No, yes, what is ES there's? No state that starts with the letters.
Speaker 2ES is there, so that's not here in America, is it? Is that España no?
Speaker 1Yes, it is. It is because Madrid. So she's going to be in Madrid in May, somewhere else in May. What's that? Es? She'll be in Denmark in May. She'll be? Yeah, I don't think it's going to, it's June. You're going to see her in June. You're going to see her June 20th or the 21st in London at the Wembley Stadium. Let me buy my ticket now. Oh, they're fantastic prices.
Speaker 2Yeah, I hear London is a place to go, which is why everyone was going to London.
Speaker 1For Beyonce.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Okay, aj, we're talking floor in front of the stage. Guess how much, guess how much.
Speaker 2Like 100 bucks.
Speaker 1Okay, not that cheap, but fucking close 205. Yeah 205 for floor seats in front of the stage. I'm going to go. I'm inviting myself on a strip. I'm inviting myself on this trip.
Speaker 1I'm going to be there I'm going to book my flight. I'm going to fly out of iad, where the international flights are, and it's going to be fan fucking tastic. I wish I would not have used all my hilton points in um girl. No, I was looking. I booked my hilton in new york with my points breaks. I had like 300 000 points and I was like you know what? Fuck yeah, I'm gonna, I rebuild them all. Every year I get like I booked my Hilton in New York with my points because I had like 300,000 points and I was like you know what? Fuck yeah, I rebuild them all.
Speaker 1Every year I get like half a million points with my work travels. So I said, fuck, yeah, I'm about to start traveling again for work. I'm going to build them up again. Let me wipe them out and get a really nice hotel in Manhattan, which I did. I got a beautiful suite in the Martinique Hotel, full suites in a the martinique hotel. It, you know, normally about 800 bucks a night. If I paid cash, got three, got three nights for free, anyhow.
Speaker 1Anyhow, I almost didn't because for some reasons like let me see how much my how, like how far my points will stretch in, like overseas, yeah, I could stay in london for like 10 nights at a nice hilton hotel for the same amount of points that I use for three nights here, I know. So I nope, it's okay, I'm gonna get my points back. I cannot wait. I am super excited. Uh, dualipa is a fucking diva. You're gonna love her show. But speaking of divas, I know you told me that you've got yourself caught up finally on some of the housewives. But most importantly, aj, did you watch the premiere of beverly?
Speaker 2hills. I watched it. It was what I just so okay I, I died I died, first of all dorit smoking a fucking cigarette that, what that?
Speaker 1what? Why? I never seen that before. That was, that was like a stress smoke.
Speaker 2I think they. I think they. She's been trying to live this certain life and she probably smoked when cameras weren't on and remember they're not sitting in your car with the camera. They mount cameras.
Speaker 1You forget they're there right, it was probably just like it was right after she wrote the post.
Speaker 2She wasn't on the phone. They only use that for, like, if they're on the phone in the car, Like she wasn't even on the fucking phone. They were just like what is this? And of course they were going to air it. And what is she doing? Telling everyone PK's a fucking alcoholic.
Speaker 1That's pissing me off. That is that's going to come back to bite her in the ass.
Speaker 2I think it is. I think she is trying. She, how are you going to sit there and be like we love each other, we love each other, we love each other? This is for the best. I love starting to happen is because now he's sober, that he's realizing all these things where she's like, oh he's an alcoholic, so what is it?
Speaker 1well, no, what actually? Actually? Even when you're sober, you're still an alcoholic, once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic. So he's not drunk, so he's an alcoholic for life. He will be for life. He's an addict to the alcohol, but he's in a program, he's sober and I guess, like she said, so yeah, but she shouldn't be putting it out there, you know what I mean? And saying that the alcohol was getting bad, bad, bad. That's why it had to be fixed. And when, realistically, I think, as sad as it sounds is, he's like fuck, I no longer have whiskey goggles anymore and I, I don't like you.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, that's sad.
Speaker 1It is.
Speaker 2But she's becoming very. The mind games that she was playing with Kyle Richards was kind of top tier, if I do say so, and you know the idea of her party. What was it?
Speaker 1Surrealism right, what's her name? Sutton's Party.
Speaker 2Sutton's Party. Yeah, I liked a lot of the outfits. The new girl Boz.
Speaker 1Boz. I love Boz, the new girl buzz bows.
Speaker 2I love she was giving in that um. Outfit that she was wearing was delicious she's a real woman yeah I love her I love her, I love her bitch.
Speaker 1I love her. I love her height, I love her size, love her full body. I love her personality. I think she's gonna regret saying she's bffs with um who we're talking about who's divorcing her husband, the re. I think she's gonna regret saying she's bffs with um, who we're talking about who's divorcing her husband, the re. I think she's gonna regret that in the future but I love that.
Speaker 2She was just, um, you know, we when you vibe with people at the beginning and she's just kind of like going through something, um, don't mind me, keep on talking. No, but seriously, because she's over here, she's liking bows a lot.
Speaker 1Uh, she's liking to read a lot and I seriously, because she's over here, she's liking bows a lot. Uh, she's liking to read a lot and I'm and she's already like claiming to read. That's going to be her best friend. She can, she can tell right away whenever she's like somebody, not like somebody, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like girl, you have never clearly seen an episode of any of our house as before, because you should probably not make those commitments so fucking soon. But she is, uh, I am also very what's the word? Uh, you know, I know you're not the biggest fan, but I am a uh diehard kyle stan. I love kyle and I am not happy with how she is portraying this whole thing with morgan.
Speaker 1Morgan wallace, that's not her name. Yes, it is no, it's not her name. Yes, it is no, it's not the DJ or the country singer, the lesbian girl. Now, she's like her whole storyline for this season is going to be about whether she is or isn't bisexual and this whole thing where she's trying to have conversations but not mention so-and-so's name and everyone's like. She was on the show for a whole season. How are you trying to protect her privacy? Now, know what I mean, which I think is just for show so you've switched and you're no longer I still love her I still love her I um.
Speaker 2What was it with um speaking of kyle? What was it with um kathy hilton pulling out her fucking hair in the middle of the party because she was quote unquote, hot I think kathy was looking to be memed.
Reality TV Drama and Friendships
Speaker 1I for someone, for someone like kathy, who is essentially in my eyes, on some level, a martha stewart, you know a little out of touch. Um, so what the fuck she wants to say? Because she knows she's a boss, ass bitch. Right for her to pull out her hair on camera after just having it put in. That was. I think she's a little too self-aware right now and they've already memed her with the kathy talks a shorthand or the purse lady, the lady who does the purse, like she's been memed and she's aware of it now, and I think that was her trying to make sure she was gonna be memed on the first episode I mean, she's paris hilton's mother.
Speaker 1Like she learned from paris even paris would have never done that. I don't know, I thought it was, I thought it was very, very tacky I, I did too yeah, and I've seen them do some trashy shit, but to pull out your hair, come on. If that was brandy or any other housewife, it would have been. We never want to hang out with her again but one thousand percent.
Speaker 2Um well, I'm trying to think of, like some other standouts from so love, the new edition of jennifer tilly who sutton's friend in the big.
Speaker 1Oh, I hate her I hate her as of right now.
Speaker 2I but you know who she is.
Speaker 1No.
Speaker 2Okay, she is iconic 90s actress. She was the voice of Bride of Chucky. She did several. She used to be like the bombshell, like in the early 90s movies. She has a very high pitched voice, which is what she was known for she was. She's always boobalicious, like. She was like iconic. So, um, she's a bit much, but the whole first like few minutes of of the the show and it showed like sutton going in and and them having their. I thought that was a little boring.
Speaker 1It was, and I felt they were trying too hard to. I don't know if she's going to be a friend of, or they're bringing her on as another housewife.
Speaker 2As of right now, it's friend of.
Speaker 1Well, I should say that way, if you ask me. I felt like it was try hard, overacting. I need to come in and make my mark immediately and I thought for sure it was only going to be, she's only there because sutton invited her. It wasn't until the post episode, where they do like the, the color interviews, that she was on it. I'm like why the? I was like, oh, please don't tell me, you guys are gonna make her housewife.
Speaker 2I I cannot stand her but now, knowing that who she was and what she's been in, doesn't it make sense that she's kind of like that and she's probably really like them?
Speaker 1I cannot stand her. I also want something to leave too. I can't stand something either she's so annoying now she has become incredibly annoying.
Speaker 1She's always have something to say, but you know, I am loving again, though is, uh, like erica. She's just getting better and slowly but surely coming back. She's very self-aware, but in the right way. I I loved it when she had mentioned that what dorit was doing after announcing the separation. She's like, yeah, you feel relief right now, but it's gonna get hellish. And then she even she's like I made every wrong mistake during my separation, like don't follow in my footsteps. And I'm like well, good, you, not only have you learned from your mistakes, you're helping others not make the same mistakes that you did, and I think that is a whole different side of america that we all need to see more also, what was it meeting at that furniture store?
Speaker 2that's super high in furniture store. That had a box for six thousand dollars and then they just sat there. And then they were like don't sit on the white couch.
Speaker 1And they made them because she had leg makeup on.
Speaker 2I was like, and then she like even looked off camera and she was like I promise I won't get anything dirty like. You know the people that were like, I know your income, I know you're poor. Like get off that three million dollar couch. You know what I mean?
Speaker 1yeah, and I also wanted to figure out. All right, I thought, based on where she was shopping and in with the old and with the out with the old and with the new yeah, I was like, oh, she got her, she got her bag back, right, she is like she's back in a mansion or something. No, if you're still in your very modest home, why are you out somewhere where they're selling a $10,600 ashtray Like? Why are you there?
Speaker 2Because also you don't. It's not a lot to fill, so you could splurge on a couple of major pieces.
Speaker 1right, that was shady AJ, that was shady, I mean you know, though right. Yeah, you're right, you're right.
Speaker 2Well, but also I think it's like a three bedroom. I don't know how many bath, but like two of the rooms are now her closet, so that's why it's basically a one bedroom.
Speaker 2It's a one but it's a one bedroom penthouse for her yeah, like a bungalow yeah but but it's because she she made two of the rooms into her closet or whatever. So but I thought that was kind of like you. You didn't. I didn't see any purchases being made. I saw you look at a couple of like items and then you sat on a bench and then talked and then dipped out. So immediately to go run over to Kyle and have a conversation with her about what Dorit had said.
Speaker 1No, you're right, You're right. I also want to know how much I want to know how involved the Mo is going to be in this season, because one he's still sexy as fuck.
Speaker 2Yeah, I know he's, so just I'm like well, he has his own show also, and he moved out of the house, so yeah he won't be around as much, so I don't know. That's a very good. I did see that there was an article that posted that he was partying with pk um in miami, with some of the summer house. Bravo, leopardy people um, at some like I think he's. He was in summer house and he's a dj and he was djing somewhere in miami. So, um, I did hear that or read that.
Speaker 1Wait, is Mo DJing now also?
Speaker 2No, no, no no.
Speaker 1Oh, I was like everyone's a DJ. Now what, oh my God, what? No, no, no, no, no. I was like you too. Did you go join, Rudy?
Speaker 2No, but I've anyways.
Speaker 1You've been dabbling.
Speaker 2No, I've not been dabbling, but. I've seen several people dabble and I'm like, oh, you're a DJ bud. No, I'm good.
Speaker 1No, I'm so excited I also went to. What do you call it? Well, first of all, I'm getting caught up on Salt Lake City, which is Okay, I really like Mary this season. She has come a long way. She's come out of this little shell. This is the most real. I've ever heard her be, most open she's ever been. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2I did see, cause there was that Bravo con I've been seeing like clips and stuff. Andy Cohen mentioned something about I think in the coming episodes or maybe one of the ones that I missed, cause I'm not fully caught up that he said that there is a conversation that is very real that Mary has. He didn't elaborate but he was like it's the most real, it is most emotional, it is like it is what these shows are about, that really bring like a humanistic nature to this reality TV show that we're watching. But I he didn't elaborate, he didn't go too much into it, but he did like kind of mention that and I was like, well, what the fuck is she? Is it because, like I think her son's on like substance or something?
Speaker 1I don't know. He's completely different than what he used to be. She's really worried about him and his, like, mental health. I am, I am I don't want to say I'm genuinely worried, because that's like silly me being a little viewer but I I'm really worried that we're gonna see her son go down a very dark hole and maybe make choices that no one wants him to make, and I I think that if I were mary, I would have already found a way off the show right for the time being.
Speaker 2For the time being, and I think there were some comments that, um, I think I did see that. The last episode I did see was um, he, she's I forgot who was going to her house, maybe it was Bronwyn. Yeah, because she arrived with the huge orchid and he comes in with his girlfriend, fiance, wife or whatever and they're going upstairs and she's like hi, where have you been? Type of a thing and he was just like almost incoherent. I don't know what he was high on, but something.
Speaker 2Yeah, and she basically was like okay, well, don't come back down because I'm having gas.
Speaker 1Yes, yes, that was kind of like. That's exactly what she was like. Please don't reappear again, right? Yes, yeah, I'm really nervous. I don't want it to end up that way, but I really do think that she if what she because even what she's saying in her little, you know, on the fly interviews, right, that she's really worried about him. And I'm like, girl, get off the show. Get off the show for your mental health purposes. If Bravo doesn't want to let you break your contract because of that, you fucking drag them in court Like God forbid something happened to your son. You bring Bravo down with you, but get off the fucking show, worry about your family and then come back.
Speaker 2Yeah, that's kind of tough.
Speaker 1It is. It is pretty pretty tough.
Speaker 2I don't think I saw what was the last episode. Was that the Breakfast at Tiffany's? Yes's yes, okay. So I saw those clips.
Speaker 1I didn't see the whole thing did you see the clipped off bangs?
Speaker 2yeah, that's what I was about to say, what was going on like all of them had that weird bang thing going on was that like an audrey heparin thing not all of them, but a few of them.
Speaker 1So it was a breakfast at tiffany's um party at mary's and a couple of them. So it was a breakfast at Tiffany's party at Mary's and a couple of them did it. I think Bronwyn did it best. She was very just, cute, demure as they would say. She had a little clip on bangs and it was perfect. Meredith did the whole thing where you pull your hair back up into a bun. She got the excess long hair, slicked it forward to create bangs and it looked atrocious. It was, it was. It was terrible. It was giving julia caesar like it was not like it, it. It also reminded me of the whole like Britney Spears pink commercial with what's his name, enrique Iglesias, and he had the little that spiky forward bank. That's what it was giving and it's like no, and she needs to fire her, her, her stylist.
Speaker 2I, yeah, I don't, I, I I wasn't a fan of that outfit. Well, the outfit was okay, I guess, but like the, the hair very upsetting. Um, you know, I, I think that, um, I like Angie, kay's and Mary's friendship that's going on, did they were? They were talking about it in the after show, but, um, apparently you know how she's, she always does these elaborate lunches or brunches or whatever.
Speaker 2Mary and um, the, the, the first one, I think she got him like journals, if you remember, from the first season. Um, she wasn't there for the second season but she brought it. She did it again for this one. She apparently got Tiffany fragrance, um, the Tiffany fragrance and had their name engraved on all of them and was going to gift that to them, but apparently something happened and people stormed out and so she didn't give the gifts. But another thing that Mary said um was oh yes, I had a $32,000 bottle of champagne and like an eight dollar bottle, and only her and angie were drinking the expensive one and she was like, don't tell anyone else and give the cheap the other girls.
Speaker 1I love her for that. I absolutely adore her for that.
Speaker 2Oh my god that is, that is, that is I, literally yeah, she's come out of her shell.
Speaker 1She says the most off the wall shit. Um, I also can't believe that brahman put everybody in coach on the way back. I thought was kind of skeezy okay, no, I I have two sides.
Speaker 1You could do the. You could do the side where everybody bitches about it and then just got over it. You could also do what lisa did, or the meredith no lisa and throw the biggest fit. Or you could do what jenna did and just buy her own flight in new york because she's like I don't fly, coach, I'll just buy me a first class flight, I'll see you guys later, and not not bitch about it, that's it wait, who did?
Speaker 2who did that?
Speaker 1Jenna from New York. Oh, I know you remember. Yeah, this is the first season. They bought a flight and she's like I don't fly, coach, I'm going to buy my own flight. There was no drama, she just bought her own first class flight and the other girls were like why doesn't she travel with us? And she's woman right, and got her own thing and then on here on salt lake, lisa, throwing the biggest fit, the absolute biggest fit, instead of just flying a 46 minute flight I here's my thing.
Speaker 2I love that she was like um, because it was my fucking credit card.
Speaker 2That's why and it was, and I was gonna look I gifted you, um, nascar, I pictured you a lovely, a private jet. She yeah like, and so she didn't do a private jet on the way back and what like that. That. That means like, like, get over it, like, I'm sorry, that's what I would. I would have, I would have had y'all get there, y'all figure it out. I, I have the place, y'all figure out how to get there. No, that's not what she did. She had even their husbands.
Speaker 1You know what I mean like yeah that was very, very nice and and I've read up on some of the, the, the details, of course, whatever's public, but the most of the blogs and everything says that bravo pays for 50 of these, unless it's a bravo coordinated trip, like ultimate girls trip. Bravo's paying for all of that, right? Yeah, that's what the whole show is based around. But all these little parties and trips that the girls plan, that those that they do, bravo pays for a half of it, right? Well, bronwyn, that was essentially two whole trips all the girls, all their husbands, their private jet. She put a lot of money out of her own pocket. You know, even at 50, that was a much larger tab than any of the other girls, right? And, yeah, I think they should have been thankful because they could have got themselves there this trip to milwaukee. What the fuck was that about?
Speaker 2stand her, what the?
Speaker 1fuck. I will give her one big plus that she looked super adorable at the breakfast at Tiffany's party. But other than that, I am sick of hearing her voice. I am sick of her stupid husband. Other than me hating Bronwyn's husband, I hate Bronwyn's husband With the passion of why, shut up. You know exactly why. Okay, all right, all right, hold on. First of all, all he's stupid and talks like a child. But speaking of husbands, um, did you catch the volleyball scene?
Speaker 2no, oh, oh, my wait, but like which who?
Speaker 1well, first of all, except for all the husbands, except for whitney's husband and todd, obviously, but the other three, um, they're pretty handsome and in good shape, but of course you see how jacked Sean is. Sean has gotten so fucking jacked. Now I'm not going to sit here and play into any rumors that may be circulating, but the more and more I watch him, the more and more I'm fairly certain that they aren't rumors. And I say this I have a reasoning, or my theories is when we first saw him, he had very minimal screen time, right. Well, he has a lot more screen time now and he 100% sounds like, physically, like to your ears, sounds like the gay guy who tries to not sound gay the gay voice yeah, like, and you can tell he's trying to trying to cover it and and they're making him like he's obviously coming to show a lot more.
Speaker 1But I'm thinking and then like just his body and his mannerisms and everything, I'm like this isn't sexual position from behind reverse cowgirl, because you don't see her fucking face. Exactly all you see is what we know you're a top, now cool all right perfect.
Speaker 1I was just like this is where you lie. This is where you lie. Oh no, I I am fairly certain that in two or three more seasons that is going to be the scandal. They're going to file for divorce and it's going to come out that he is a. Don't put that out there. I'm not putting it out there, I'm just saying that that's what might happen. Which is putting it out there.
Speaker 2I mean only if it's to be with me.
Speaker 1I'm going to Salt Lake City twice this year.
Speaker 2I love it so you'll get a blowout, because that's what they.
Speaker 1How dare you?
Speaker 2Well, no, I need to see him.
Speaker 1Oh my God, you can blow out my mustache please I can't, oh my god I bet you, they're both probably so so far out because, obviously because of of the tv show, when is jen shaw eligible to get out? Because I can't wait till she's back I you know what?
Speaker 2I think they didn't they shorten it or something. Um, I think she's gonna be out like six months maybe, if I recall correctly.
Speaker 1I don't know something like that. Oh no, it's a while. It's a while, unfortunately. Damn it. If she's, we have to wait another three seasons before we get her back. You know she's gonna be back on the show. You know she's gonna be back and they're gonna be. They should bring monica back to um, that. Bring that poor bitch back, just so jen shaw can still be richer than her and drive her to the ground. Anyways, it says 2028 here, but hopefully we can get her out sooner why did I say six months?
Speaker 1because, I wouldn't know, it is released early. She was not supposed to be released until 2029. However, they were able to knock it down to 2028, so that's yeah, you were right. You were right wow oh my god, I cannot wait that's gonna be insane it is and I can't wait for it. But, most importantly, I need you to uh figure out all the details to go see um a dual Lipa in London, london town and get World Pride situated World.
Impromptu London Trip Planning
Speaker 1Pride's going to be great. I am most likely upgrading apartments already to get. I want to go up here to two bedroom. Don't worry, I already have your square footage secured. Just get your fucking plane ticket, bitch. Yeah, hurry up. I cannot wait to go First, first of all, to see you again. I wanted to go. I'm going to london. I'm inviting myself. I don't care what your friends say. No, do it, they'll love it. And, um, this is gonna be super exciting.
Speaker 2Aj, you're adorable you're adorable, oh my god, no, you're adorable this is so fun. Um love, I need. I need to really watch the last couple of Salt Lakes that I have missed, but we'll catch up some more and then we'll be able to discuss some other Beverly Hills stuff next time.
Speaker 1Yes, I cannot wait.
Speaker 2So until then, happy Thanksgiving and all of those fun stuff.
Speaker 1Yes, take care, honey, I love stuff. Yes, take care, honey, I love you. Bye, oh, my God, okay, bye, bye.
